Condo Bathroom Renovation – Transform it into a Luxe at home spa

My client brought me in to completely renovate and refresh her master ensuite bathroom. She has lived in this space, which is a condo for over ten years, and it was fine, but it was dated and the look itself was very masculine. The vision for this master ensuite was to create an in-home spa environment. The ensuite itself is not overly huge. We kept the layout, but there were some glaring issues.

Obviously, from a functional standpoint, the lack of storage was solved by adding a custom vanity and a shallow cabinet that’s over the toilet. One of the touches that I included was this gorgeous faux leather trim on the cabinet, as well as on the vanity. It adds that extra, unexpected texture. That breaks up the sleek stone here.

For this project, it sort of grew from whats behind me right now, which is the tub and the feature wall. The wall behind the tub is made of quartz. Quartz was also used for the tub platform, as well as the vanity countertop. All of the other materials, including the floor and shower mosaic are marble. My client really wanted a luxurious spa feel in this ensuite to simplify the process.
I ended up ordering all of the fixtures and components from plumbing online CA. I was able to source through a myriad of different brands in order to narrow down the look that I really wanted in creating this spa-like bathroom for my client. This ensuite features a steam system by thermos that is sort of the rolls-royce version of steam units.

If you will, it obviously generates a lot of steam, but it offers additional things like light therapy and sound therapy, and it also plays music. If you connect it to your phone specking, a steam shower, can get a bit complicated. The great thing about plumbing online CA is that they have very knowledgeable technical experts that I was able to contact at any given time multiple times actually. These experts were able to walk me through any sort of troubleshooting that we required, while installing the steam unit for all of the fixtures in this ensuite.

I used breathe, not only for the finish, but also for the look. The brand really does have a little bit of a heavier hand. I would say so, it is not overly delicate, it just has that added industrial touch that I thought would work well in this. Bathrooms, let’s face it: specking a toilet is not the most luxurious and glamorous thing in the world, but I kind of like it. Getting the right toilet with the right proportions, and the right look will complete the project.

In your space, I chose an American Standard toilet. It’s the Boulevard toilet and I chose it because it’s modern, but it also works in transitional spaces. I also love the fact that it’s dual flush and high efficiency. We are in a busy building downtown Toronto, but, quite frankly, you would never know it because the space is so calm and so serene. We were able to maximize a small space by adding all the small luxurious touches, from the deep soaker tub to the built-in bench in the shower to the steam unit. This is just a world away for my client in a place where she can come and relax and unwind at the end of her long day,
